Dress Code

General Information

  • A full uniform (jacket, pants, and belt) is required for all testings and tournaments
  • From November 1st to April 30th a full uniform is required for class
  • From May 1st to October 31st a white school t-shirt with Taekwondo pants and belt is allowed for class due to the hot weather
  • If you choose to wear a shirt under your Taekwondo uniform, it must be a plain white t-shirt or the white school t-shirt
  • Uniforms should always be clean and neat in appearance
  • Please put your initials on the tag of your uniform pants, jacket, t-shirt, and belt
  • No jewelry should be worn in class (excluding wedding bands)
  • Hair should be pulled back, out of face

 

Colored Belts – White through Red Belts

1)      Patches

          – CTF organization patch (red) must be on the left side of the uniform (Free with your first test)

          – ACT school patch (white) must be on the right side of the uniform (must be purchased for $5.30)

2)      Belt 

        – Ranking stripes: When your belt is tied, these stripes should be on the right side. These are the stripes that you get every time you test that tells what level of your      

                                                current belt color you are.

        – Achievement stripes: When your belt is tied, these stripes should be on the left side. These are the stripes that you get when you have shown proficiency with new

                                                         information. (white=current form, yellow=CTF form, green=drills/one-steps, blue=definitions, red=sparring, black=board breaking) Once you

                                                         have received the achievements stripes for your level, you are eligible to test.

 

Black Belts

1)      Patches

            – CTF organization patch (red) must be on the left side of the uniform

            – ACT school patch (white) must be on the right side of the uniform

 

2)      Uniform

             – 1st Degree Decided and above: add a 7/8” black trim around bottom of uniform jacket 

             – 1st Degree Decided and above: Taekwondo, CTF,  and your name must be embroidered on the back of your uniform (ask for pricing details in office)

             – Assistant Instructors: add red or blue 7/8” stripe around collar of uniform

             – Certified Instructors: add black stripe around color of uniform (see CTF manual for sizes)\

             – 4th Degree: add 7/8” black stripe down each pant leg

             – 5th Degree: add 7/8” black stripe down each arm
